Listed Pitchers: Mitre / Tallet
Yankees: Mitre will return from a bruised right forearm suffered in his last start to pitch on Sunday against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Mitre is coming off his best start with the Yankees to date, having hurled 6 1/3 innings of scoreless, one-hit ball on Aug. 29 against the White Sox at Yankee Stadium. The Blue Jays have seen Mitre twice this season, as he hurled 4 1/3 innings of three-run ball on Aug. 5 at Toronto and five innings of five-run (three earned) ball on Aug. 10 in a losing effort in New York.
Blue Jays: Tallet moved back into the rotation on Tuesday against the Rangers. He didn’t fare too well, allowing four runs, all earned, on six hits over five innings with four walks and four strikeouts. Lifetime against the Yankees, Tallet has pitched well, going 1-1 with a 3.05 ERA in 23 games, including two starts.
ST. LOUIS -1.5 (-115) 3.5 UNITS POWER PLAY

Listed Pitchers: Pineiro / Maholm
Cardinals: Last time out, Pineiro did two things on consecutive batters that he often doesn’t do in an entire game: Issued a walk and allowed a homer. That put him in a hole, but after that he was fine, and the Cardinals dug out. As a result, St. Louis has now won 10 straight starts by the right-hander, and he’s been especially good at home. He keeps doing the same thing: Throwing strikes and keeping the ball on the ground. And it keeps working.
Pirates: Maholm gave up three early runs, and that was the difference in a 6-3 loss to the Reds in Game 2 of a doubleheader Monday. Maholm threw 43 pitches in the first inning and only made one mistake after that marathon frame. His final line was four runs and nine hits over five innings, including a homer to Brandon Phillips. Maholm will look to get back on the winning track against the Cardinals.
TEXAS / BALTIMORE OVER 9.5 3.5 UNITS 🙂

Listed Pitchers: Holland / Guthrie
Rangers: Holland has lost his last two starts, allowing 16 runs in nine innings on 14 hits and six walks. He has now given up 21 home runs in 112 innings. That’s 1.69 home runs per nine innings, which is the sixth highest for a pitcher with at least 100 innings in one season in Rangers history. He is still 4-4 with a 5.23 ERA in nine starts since the All-Star break and 5-8 with a 5.66 ERA in 16 games as a starter. He made his lone relief appearance against the Orioles this year, allowing one run in three innings.
Orioles: Guthrie threw six effective innings in his last outing and has now thrown three consecutive quality starts. Baltimore’s Opening Day starter went 2-3 with a 4.54 ERA in August, his best ERA for any month this season. The right-hander has allowed 30 home runs, the most of any American League pitcher. He also leads the league in most runs (98) and most earned runs (92) allowed.
