The Habs are +900 long shots to capture their 25th Stanley Cup championship
Despite qualifying for the playoffs as the lowest-ranked team, the Montreal Canadiens will make their first appearance in the third round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2014. Entering their first round series versus the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal had the longest Stanley Cup odds in the North, and few gave them a chance to win even a single game against the heavily favored Leafs.

Those odds got longer when they found themselves down 3-1 in the best-of-seven. But since Game 5 of that first-round matchup, the Canadiens have gone over 400 consecutive minutes without trailing, which has put them into second-place all-time in NHL playoff history. Of course, a big part of that has been the performance of Carey Price, who has reaffirmed himself as the league’s top netminder.
The Canadiens now sit at +325 to make it to the Finals, but their path will stand either the Vegas Golden Knights or the Colorado Avalanche. The Avs (+180 to win the Cup) and Golden Knights (+400 to win the Cup) finished first and second, respectively, in the NHL standings during the regular season. Once again, the Canadiens will be significant underdogs in their upcoming series. Grab them now at +900 to win the Cup if you think that this is the year of their 25th franchise championship.
